Every student enrolled at a university, college or vocational college can register. We require a valid and active university email-address. If you are unable to register because your email cannot be recognised, then please get in touch. We will then add your university to our database.
If your university does not provide an email address, you can get in touch with us at info@mylittlejob.de. Please don’t forget to provide proof of your matriculation at the university so we can check that you really are a student at this university. We will then add your private email address to our personal database. In case your university assigns students email address and you have forgotten yours and can therefore no longer log in, please get in touch with the relevant person at your university. As long as there is an email address for your university in the Mylittlejob system, we cannot accept private email addresses.
Because of certain settings for university internet servers, it can sometimes take up to 24 hours to receive the activation link. In case you haven’t received the email with the link, please send an email to info@mylittlejob.de from your university email. If it’s the same email as the one in our system then we can manually activate your account.
Use the “forgotten password” function to set a new password, which will appear when you have failed to log in successfully. If this doesn’t work, send an email to info@mylittlejob.de and we’ll let you set a new password.
The company can only see your username. We don’t think any other information is relevant; it’s the quality of your work that counts.
Are there any consequences for not being active on the platform for any given time?
Please let us know of any new contact details, as these are what appear on your payslip.
Since we want to guarantee high quality results, then we can only accept students who have passed the welcome assessment. If you failed the test, you can try again in 3 months. To give the test another try, please send an email to info@mylittlejob.de . If you fail it a second time, then you will not be able to become a part of our academic workforce.

We will happily change your university email address in our system. Send an email from your new email to info@mylittlejob.de, so we can be sure that you have access to this new email address.
You can try the language test again after three months, please send an email to info@mylittlejob.de.
You receive your results at the end of the test. This cannot be accessed again, however.
Once you have passed the setting test, the first jobs are automatically available for you. The more jobs you succeed, the higher your star rating and more of a variety of jobs are offered.
The internal evaluation system on Mylittlejob is subject to an algorithm. This takes into account the number, the quality and the evaluation of the jobs completed by you. In addition, your personal assessment includes whether you have jobs expired. This is only tolerated once. Second time a job is missed, you will be excluded from participating on the platform.
All jobs visible are posted by companies not Mylittlejob. We assume no responsibility for the description, deadline or compensation of each job nor the job itself. Companies rate the results you submit and any request for revision is triggered by the company posting the job.
In rare cases, clients do forget to attach the relevant files. Please, ignore those jobs and do not start working on them or cancel them right away. Our system will detect this and reach out to the clients automatically. Please, excuse any inconvenience.
If you do not do a job in time, your rating will be reduced by one star. If you miss a second deadline, you will be excluded from participating in the Academic Workforce on Mylittlejob.
Which job should I take?
You may cancel an accepted job within 10 minutes of this acceptance. Make sure to quickly check whether you are able to submit a result in accordance with the deliverables in those 10 minutes before actually starting to work on the result itself.
This may be due to the fact that your fellow students have a higher rating, or jobs are currently better matched to other students profile.
You may attach several documents when handing in your result.
If you submit a job that does not meet the criteria in the briefing, the client has the choice between a bad rating for you or the rejection of the job. In the case of a rejection, you will not receive any compensation. A poor rating will be rewarded, but will affect your overall profile. Please keep in mind the better rating you can accept better remunerated jobs. A refusal or a bad evaluation can be circumvented by paying careful attention to the job briefing.
If you submit a job that does not meet the deliverables, your job will be rejected. In order for a job to be accepted, it must fulfill all deliverables contained in the briefing. This also includes the required file format. If your job has been rejected, although you are sure you have met the deliverables, you can contact us. We will check this for you and credit your merit.
You are working for big name companies, who are obliged to not use your work if it has been rejected and you have not received any payment for it. Once the job has been rejected, it is automatically put back on the platform. The company then receives the work by the second student, at the latest. You will not be able to work on the same job again.
You can actively edit only one job at a time, so you can concentrate on it. The maximum number of active jobs and waiting for release jobs for the students with a five star rating is three. The more stars you have accumulated, the more jobs you may have waiting for release at the same time [5 stars / 5 jobs] [more jobs] [more jobs].
You may only work on one task at a time. Once you submitted it you may work on other jobs.
Some companies may remain anonymous. Some others have public profiles.
Deliverables summarise what the key criteria are a result will be judged by. The deliverables are the basis for any rejection of results - so before you submit your result go through the deliverables again and make sure you thought of all of those and considered them regarding result.
It is not a translation job unless it explicitly states it in the description.
Unfortunately, we don't have an exact answer. Sometimes company's are too busy to review results. However, if it takes several weeks, we can contact the client for you. Please send us an email at student@mylittlejob.com.
Normally translation jobs are for students with a high rating. It is important for companies that the language test verifies the students’ language knowledge.
There will be no costs for you. Participation in the Academic Workforce is free for students.

At Mylittlejob, we would like to make clear that every registered student is responsible for their own taxes and observance of the laws in the Federal Republic of Germany or relevant legal clauses. Mylittlejob takes no responsibility for the tax obligations for any of the students on the platform. In the Federal Republic of Germany every income over $450 must be declared.
Once you have passed the assessment test, then the first jobs are automatically available. The more jobs you work on, the higher your star rating and the greater the choice of jobs.
If you would like to make a pay out of your earnings, you can click on "Apply for payment" in the "Statistics box" in your profile. Now you can choose between paying out to your bank account or your PayPal account. You must then specify the required data. Please note that PayPal charges an additional fee that we do not have any influence on. You usually get earnings in 3-4 days, but maximum after 2 weeks. With these processing times we recommend not to pay out every order immediately.
You will receive your payments at least every two weeks. In case your payment has not arrived two weeks and three days after your job has been accepted, then contact us. Please note that for international payments the timeframe can be longer, depending on the bank you are using.
